The 601 Red Habano Churchill is part of the original 601 series created by Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega. First released in 2006, the Red Label quickly became known for its bold flavor and full-bodied profile. After some changes in ownership and production, the cigar returned to its roots and is now handcrafted at Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Nicaragua.

This Churchill vitola features a dark, oily Nicaraguan Habano wrapper over a blend of aged Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The cigar opens with red pepper and baking spice, then develops into black tea, walnut, peat, and milk chocolate. In the second half, flavors deepen with espresso, Dutch cocoa, cedar, and nectar. It’s a rich, balanced smoke with a smooth draw and excellent construction. The blend earned a 93 rating for its complexity and craftsmanship.
