Ashton Cigars: Blends, Tobacco and Vitolas
The Ashton portfolio is produced in the Dominican Republic and uses wrapper selection to create significant differences among its major cigar families. Ashton Classic and Cabinet Selection occupy the smoother side of the portfolio with Connecticut Shade wrappers, while Ashton Virgin Sun Grown (VSG) uses a darker Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler tobaccos.

Ashton Classic
Ashton Classic represents the milder, traditional side of the portfolio. Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the blend uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper over Dominican binder and filler tobaccos. Classic is produced in a broad selection of traditional vitolas, allowing the same core blend to be compared across different cigar dimensions.
Ashton Cabinet Selection
Ashton Cabinet Selection also uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper but is built around extensively aged Dominican binder and filler tobaccos. The line remains mild to medium in strength while providing a useful step from Ashton Classic for smokers comparing the Connecticut-wrapped side of the Ashton portfolio. Available formats include Robusto, Toro, Churchill, Belicoso, and other traditional shapes.
Ashton Virgin Sun Grown (VSG)
Ashton VSG moves to the full-bodied end of the portfolio. The blend uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper grown from Sumatra seed over Dominican binder and filler tobaccos aged for four to five years. The darker wrapper and fuller strength make VSG substantially different from the Connecticut Shade-wrapped Classic and Cabinet lines.

Ashton Small Cigars
Ashton Small Cigars provide shorter-format alternatives in several wrapper styles. Ashton Classic vs. Ashton Cabinet
Ashton Classic and Cabinet Selection are both Dominican-made cigars finished with Connecticut Shade wrappers, but they occupy separate positions within the portfolio. Classic is the foundational mild Ashton blend, while Cabinet Selection uses longer-aged Dominican tobaccos and generally falls into the mild-to-medium range. Smokers who prefer Connecticut-wrapped cigars can therefore compare the two without moving immediately to the fuller profile of VSG.
Ashton Classic vs. Ashton VSG
Classic and VSG illustrate two very different expressions of Ashton. Classic uses a lighter Connecticut Shade wrapper with Dominican interior tobaccos and falls on the milder side of the strength range. VSG replaces the Connecticut wrapper with Ecuadorian Sumatra and uses aged Dominican binder and filler tobaccos in a full-bodied blend. Wrapper and strength are therefore the most immediate differences when choosing between them.

Ashton produces cigars across traditional Robusto, Toro, Churchill, Belicoso, Lonsdale, and larger ring-gauge formats as well as Torpedo and Figurado shapes.
