Apostate Cigars is a boutique cigar brand produced in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera Palma in Tamboril. Apostate Cigars: Blends, Tobacco and Vitolas
The Apostate portfolio is built around individually composed blends rather than one core tobacco recipe offered under different names. Wrapper tobaccos across the line include Ecuadorian Sumatra, Ecuadorian Connecticut, Ecuadorian Corojo, Mexican San Andrés, Dominican Corojo Candela, Pennsylvania Broadleaf, and other specialty leaves. Binder and filler components vary by cigar and include tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico, Paraguay, Cameroon, and the United States.
Vitola is also an important part of the portfolio. The core cigars range from Toro, Robusto, Torpedo, Churchill, and Corona Gorda formats to newer 4 1/2 x 44 Petite Corona versions of several blends. These smaller cigars retain the identity of the named blend while changing the wrapper-to-filler proportions and overall dimensions.

The Initiatory
The Initiatory measures 6 x 52 in a Toro format and uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Dominican filler tobaccos. The Sumatra and San Andrés combination separates it from the Connecticut-, Corojo-, Candela-, and Broadleaf-wrapped cigars elsewhere in the Apostate portfolio.
The Initiatory is also available in a Petite Corona version, providing a shorter and narrower interpretation within the same named blend family.
The Deseret
The Deseret measures 5 1/4 x 54 in a Robusto format. The blend consists of a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Dominican Piloto Cubano binder, and Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos.
Within the Apostate portfolio, the San Andrés wrapper distinguishes The Deseret from blends using Ecuadorian Connecticut, Sumatra, Corojo, Candela, and Broadleaf wrappers. A Petite Corona version provides the blend in a smaller format with different wrapper-to-filler proportions.
The Liahona
The Liahona measures 6 x 45 in a Torpedo format and uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder with filler tobaccos from Paraguay and the Dominican Republic.
The Connecticut wrapper distinguishes The Liahona from the San Andrés-wrapped Deseret and Sumatra-wrapped Initiatory. Its tapered Torpedo shape also provides different dimensions from the conventional Toro and Robusto formats found elsewhere in the line.
The Feathered Serpent
The Feathered Serpent measures 6 1/2 x 46 in a Corona Gorda format and is distinguished by a Dominican Corojo Candela wrapper. Beneath the green wrapper is a Mexican San Andrés binder and Dominican filler tobacco.
The use of Corojo tobacco processed as Candela gives The Feathered Serpent one of the most unusual wrapper-and-binder combinations in the Apostate portfolio. The blend is also produced in a smaller Petite Corona format.
The Sword of Laban
The Sword of Laban measures 7 1/4 x 47 in a long Churchill format and uses an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Dominican filler tobacco.
Its length and relatively narrow ring gauge separate it from the thicker Deseret Robusto and Initiatory Toro. The Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper also distinguishes the blend from Apostate cigars using Sumatra, Connecticut, San Andrés, Candela, and Broadleaf wrappers.
The Zarahemla
The Zarahemla uses a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over a Cameroon binder with Dominican filler tobacco. This combination gives the cigar one of the more unusual wrapper-and-binder pairings within the Apostate portfolio.
The Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper distinguishes The Zarahemla from the Ecuadorian, Mexican, and Dominican wrapper tobaccos used across many of Apostate's other named blends.
Moroni's Trumpet
Moroni's Trumpet adds another distinct tobacco composition to the Apostate portfolio rather than serving as another vitola of an existing core blend. The cigar is also represented in Apostate's Petite Corona series, providing a smaller-format version alongside the original release.
Because tobacco specifications can differ by presentation and release, wrapper, binder, and filler details should be compared at the individual product level rather than assumed across every Moroni's Trumpet format.
The Endowment
The Endowment is another individually composed blend within the Apostate catalog and is produced alongside the Initiatory, Deseret, Liahona, Feathered Serpent, Sword of Laban, Zarahemla, and Moroni's Trumpet.
The Endowment is also available in a Petite Corona format. Tobacco specifications should be checked by individual presentation, particularly where wrapper selection differs between the original cigar and smaller-format releases.
Apostate Petite Corona Cigars
Apostate has extended several of its named blends into a 4 1/2 x 44 Petite Corona format. The smaller dimensions reduce both length and ring gauge compared with cigars such as the 6 x 52 Initiatory Toro, 5 1/4 x 54 Deseret Robusto, and 6 1/2 x 46 Feathered Serpent Corona Gorda.
The Petite Corona releases are best treated as size-specific expressions within the existing Apostate families rather than entirely separate cigar lines. Wrapper, binder, and filler specifications should still be checked by product when a Petite Corona differs from the original release.
