Black Star Line Cigars

Black Star Line Cigars was founded by Aric Bey, a retired Chicago firefighter whose interest in premium cigars developed while working at the firehouse. The company entered the premium cigar market through relationships with established manufacturers rather than operating its own cigar factory.

Black Star Line has worked with El Titan de Bronze in Miami and Aganorsa Leaf in Nicaragua, giving the portfolio access to different factories, tobacco inventories, and blending approaches. Individual Black Star Line releases therefore need to be evaluated by blend and manufacturer rather than treated as variations of one house cigar.

Black Star Line Cigar Blends

Black Star Line El Milagro

El Milagro was among the original Black Star Line projects produced with El Titan de Bronze in Miami. The collection helped establish the brand's early identity and included separate wrapper expressions rather than relying on a single tobacco composition.

Black Star Line War Witch

War Witch marked Black Star Line's expansion into Nicaraguan production through Aganorsa Leaf. The original release was developed as a box-pressed Corona, with additional formats following as the collection expanded. War Witch became one of the releases most closely associated with the growth of Black Star Line.

Black Star Line Lalibela

Lalibela is another established Black Star Line collection. The name references the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, Ethiopia, reflecting the historical and cultural references that appear throughout the brand's naming and presentation.

Black Star Line Marun and Rosewood 1923

Marun and Rosewood 1923 are additional releases within the Black Star Line portfolio. As with other Black Star Line cigars, their tobacco composition and production specifications should be considered individually because the company works across different blends and manufacturing projects.

Black Star Line and Aganorsa Leaf

Aganorsa Leaf became an important manufacturing partner for Black Star Line following the brand's initial work in Miami. The relationship gave Black Star Line access to Nicaraguan production and Aganorsa's tobacco inventory, while Aric Bey remained directly involved in determining the direction and character of his blends.

Black Star Line and El Titan de Bronze

Black Star Line's early cigars were developed with El Titan de Bronze, the small Miami cigar factory known for traditional hand production. El Titan de Bronze remains connected to the brand and currently identifies Black Star Line among the cigar companies for which it manufactures cigars.

Who Is Aric Bey?

Aric Bey is the founder of Black Star Line Cigars and a retired Chicago firefighter. His interest in premium cigars developed while working at the firehouse and eventually led him to pursue his own cigar company. Relationships with established cigar makers and factories became an important part of developing Black Star Line's early blends.

Where Are Black Star Line Cigars Made?

Black Star Line has used multiple manufacturing partners rather than a single factory. Production has included El Titan de Bronze in Miami and Aganorsa Leaf in Nicaragua. Because factory, wrapper, binder, filler, and strength can vary substantially between releases, the specific blend is the best way to compare Black Star Line cigars.

Choosing a Black Star Line Cigar

Compare Black Star Line cigars by individual blend rather than brand strength alone. Collections such as El Milagro, War Witch, Lalibela, Marun, and Rosewood 1923 use different tobacco compositions and have been produced through different manufacturing projects. Review the wrapper, binder, filler, factory, strength, and vitola of each cigar as products become available.
