What does AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro taste like?
Commonly reported flavors include warm earth, roasted nuts, leather, coffee, pepper, and natural sweetness. Tasting notes can change throughout the cigar and individual flavor perceptions may vary.
What size is AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro?
The Toro measures 6 1/2 inches long with a 54 ring gauge. Its box-pressed construction gives the cigar flattened sides and a softly squared profile.
What wrapper does Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro use?
It features a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper. Beneath the Brazilian wrapper are Nicaraguan binder and long-filler tobaccos grown on AJ Fernandez farms.
Is Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro a Nicaraguan puro?
No. The binder and filler are Nicaraguan, but the wrapper is Brazilian Mata Fina. This distinguishes the Brazil blend from the original Días de Gloria, which uses Nicaraguan tobacco for its wrapper, binder, and filler.
How strong is Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro?
The cigar is generally classified as medium to full in strength and body. Its profile combines the sweetness and richness of Brazilian Mata Fina with the earth, spice, and depth of Nicaraguan tobacco.
Where is Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro made?
It is handmade at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Is AJ Fernandez Dias de Gloria Brazil Toro box-pressed?
Yes. The 6 1/2 x 54 Toro is produced with a soft box press, giving it a squared profile with slightly rounded edges.
What is Brazilian Mata Fina tobacco?
Mata Fina is a tobacco grown in Brazil and is traditionally used for premium cigar wrappers and other cigar components. On Días de Gloria Brazil, the Mata Fina leaf provides the wrapper surrounding the Nicaraguan binder and filler.
What is the difference between Dias de Gloria Brazil and the original Dias de Gloria?
The original Días de Gloria is a Nicaraguan puro with Nicaraguan wrapper, binder, and filler. Días de Gloria Brazil retains Nicaraguan binder and filler but replaces the original wrapper with Brazilian Mata Fina.
How does the Brazil Toro compare with the Brazil Robusto?
Both use the same Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan blend. The Toro measures 6 1/2 x 54, while the Robusto measures 5 1/2 x 54. They share the same ring gauge, but the Toro is one inch longer.
When was Dias de Gloria Brazil introduced?
AJ Fernandez introduced Días de Gloria Brazil in 2024 as the second blend under the Días de Gloria name, expanding the original Nicaraguan-focused concept with a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper.
