Havana Q
Havana Q cigars are handmade in Nicaragua by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. as a fuller, larger-ring-gauge companion to the popular Quorum line. The blend combines an Ecuador-grown Havana-seed wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos for a medium-bodied profile with more depth than traditional value-bundle cigars.
Havana Q is offered in four large-format vitolas—Double Robusto, Double Toro, Double Grande and Double Churchill—and packaged in resealable 20-count humidified bags. Shop Havana Q cigars online at Cigars N Cigars.
Havana Q Cigars: Blend, Tobacco and Vitolas
Havana Q is a Nicaraguan cigar line produced by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. at its PENSA factory in Estelí. Developed as a companion to Quorum, Havana Q uses larger ring gauges and an Ecuador-grown Havana-seed wrapper while retaining a Nicaraguan tobacco core.
Havana Q Cigar Blend
The Havana Q blend uses an Ecuador Havana Seed wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan filler. J.C. Newman grows the Havana-seed wrapper in Ecuador's Guayas tobacco-growing region. The combination produces a medium-bodied cigar with the fuller character associated with Havana-seed wrapper tobacco.
Havana Q and Quorum Cigars
Havana Q is closely related to J.C. Newman's Quorum brand but is a distinct cigar line. Quorum established J.C. Newman's Nicaraguan value-cigar portfolio, while Havana Q expands that concept with an Ecuador Havana Seed wrapper and a range of larger-ring-gauge formats. Both lines are produced in Nicaragua by J.C. Newman.
Where Are Havana Q Cigars Made?
Havana Q cigars are handmade at the J.C. Newman PENSA cigar factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. PENSA is J.C. Newman's Nicaraguan production facility and also produces the company's Quorum cigars.
Havana Q Double Robusto
The Havana Q Double Robusto measures 5 x 56. Its shorter length and 56-ring gauge provide the Havana Q blend in a compact, large-ring format.
Havana Q Double Toro
The Havana Q Double Toro measures 6 x 54. This format combines a traditional six-inch Toro length with a slightly larger 54-ring gauge.
Havana Q Double Grande
The Havana Q Double Grande measures 6 x 60. It is the largest ring-gauge cigar in the Havana Q portfolio and provides the blend in a substantial Gordo-style format.
Havana Q Double Churchill
The Havana Q Double Churchill measures 7 x 52. It is the longest Havana Q vitola, pairing a seven-inch length with a 52-ring gauge.
Choosing a Havana Q Cigar
All four Havana Q sizes use the same Ecuador Havana Seed wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler blend, so choosing between them primarily comes down to vitola. The Double Robusto offers the shortest format, the Double Toro provides a balanced 6 x 54 size, the Double Grande increases the ring gauge to 60, and the Double Churchill extends the length to seven inches.
