Plasencia Year of the Horse Parejo Gordo is a limited-edition 7 x 58 cigar created to celebrate the 2026 Chinese Lunar New Year. Officially named El Año del Caballo, the blend features an organically grown Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobaccos, all grown and aged by the Plasencia family.

The Parejo Gordo is distinguished by an elaborate braided tobacco cap designed to resemble a horse's mane or tail. Creating the braid requires an additional artisan and approximately twice the production time of a conventional cigar. Only 6,000 boxes of 10 cigars were produced for this limited release.
