The current Sarzedas blend uses an Ecuadorian Shade wrapper with binder and filler tobaccos from both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The cigars are handmade at J.C. Newman's PENSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The combination distinguishes Sarzedas from an all-Nicaraguan puro while retaining Nicaraguan tobacco in the interior blend.
